0 Ratings

Are you looking to create literature circles to promote more authentic literature discussions in your classroom?  These resources have everything you need to get started!  Students will work in small groups to read and analyze a novel and will participate in jobs such as: Discussion Director, Selective Summarizer, Word Wizard, Creative Connector, Inspiring Illustrator.  This is a great way to create authentic comprehension discussions when students in your classroom have different reading levels.  Create a “Lit Circle Binder” for each group, create a rotating schedule to assign jobs, work with students to select books and you’re ready to go!

Search this site for Class President, Loser, Chomp, Socks, Jake Drake, and other novels that have been adapted and modified to allow increased participation in these literature circle activities.
