Poppleton in Winter Comprehension Activities

Poppleton is a beloved character for young readers – students love reading about his life and adventures.  Students will enjoy some of his winter adventures and complete fun comprehension activities as they read Poppleton in Winter.  Comprehension activities include analyzing problems and solutions, describing the setting, learning about characters, and making text-self connections.  All activities are included at three levels: one for students to write sentences, a second with sentence starters to support ideation and organization, and third version for students to build sentences using an augmentative communication tool.  There is also a companion text to support students’ reading of the text with simplified concepts.
