0 Ratings

Owl is a beloved character for young readers – students love reading about his life and adventures.  Students will enjoy some of his silly adventures and complete fun comprehension activities as they read Owl at Home.  Comprehension activities include making predictions, reading for interesting vocabulary, analyzing problems and solutions, describing different settings, and making text-self connections.  All activities are included at two levels: one for students to write sentences and a second with sentence starters to support ideation and organization and reduced writing expectations. There is also a companion text to support students’ reading of the text with simplified language and reduce text per page.

Note: The text Owl at Home is a companion text in the Journey’s First Grade Curriculum.  It is also available for purchase on Amazon.com.
